Upgradation of ITI into Model ITI

The Government of India launched this scheme to upgrade existing Government ITIs into Model ITIs with the key objective of developing a benchmark for industry-oriented ITIs.
These Model ITIs will serve as an example for other ITIs and help raise the dignity of ITI education.

• Government ITI Gurugram is selected to be upgraded as a Model ITI under this scheme.
• Under this project, ITI infrastructure will be upgraded along with the establishment of a Training, Counselling, and Placement Cell.
  New trade courses will be introduced as per industry needs.
• Total project cost: ₹10.00 crore, with Central and State Government funding in a 70:30 ratio.
• ₹5.00 crore (₹3.5 crore Central share + ₹1.50 crore State share) has been transferred to the IMC Society of GITI Gurugram during FY 2017-18 for implementation of the project.
