- Craftsmen Training Scheme:
The examination of trade courses running under the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) is conducted semester-wise in January/February and July/August every year. - Examination Process:
The department conducts two types of examinations (semester pattern):- Trades affiliated with NCVT — conducted by DGT, GoI, with certificates awarded by NCVT.
- Trades under SCVT — conducted by the State Directorate, with SCVT certificates awarded by the State Government.
The SCVT functions as the state counterpart of NCVT, following NCVT syllabi, academics, and examination systems.
- Examinations are conducted twice a year:
- January/February: I & III Semester (Regular), II & IV Semester (Reappear)
- July/August: II & IV Semester (Regular), I & III Semester (Reappear)
- Papers 1 & 2 are OMR-based; Paper 3 (2nd, 3rd, 4th semester) is Engineering Drawing, conventional type. Practical exams are machine-based.
- Exam centre mapping is done as per DGT guidelines; nearby ITIs are tagged accordingly.
- NCVT papers are supplied by DGT; SCVT papers are prepared and supplied by the department.

- Late fee: ₹500 if paid after the due date.
