State Council of Vocational Training

State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT) Society of Haryana was registered on 9th November 2014. The SCVT Society was constituted by the Governor of Haryana under the Haryana Registration and Regulation of Society Act, 2012 on 19th February 2015 to look after vocational training activities in the State.

Functions of the SCVT Society

Implement the policy of the National Council of Vocational Training regarding the award of National Trade Certificates in Engineering and Non-Engineering Trades as brought within its scope by the Government of India or the State Government.
Implement the policy laid down by the National Council in respect of syllabi, equipment, scale of accommodation, course duration, and method of training.
Arrange ad hoc and/or periodical inspections of Training Institutes in the State to ensure that National Council standards are being followed.

Co-opt individuals to advise the State Council in connection with its work and functions.
Ensure that staff is employed according to qualifications prescribed by the National Council, with provision to relax qualifications in special circumstances where trained staff is not easily available.
Countersign and issue National Trade Certificates to successful candidates.
Ensure vocational training is imparted under various State and Union Government schemes.
Recommend additional training facilities where necessary and assist in setting up new training programmes.
Advise the State Government on expenditure related to different training schemes.
Perform other functions entrusted by the State Government.
